About:
Siag Office is a free office package which consists of the spreadsheet
Siag, the word processor PW, the animation program Egon, the text editor
XedPlus, the file manager Xfiler and the previewer Gvu. Siag is easy to
use, yet infinitely flexible through multiple embedded interpreters and a
plugin mechanism that allows other programs to run inside the main
document. The supported interpreters are SIOD, Guile, Tcl, and Python.
Changes:
This release requires Mowitz 0.2.0 or higher. All font and color management
has been moved to Mowitz, there is easier references between sheets, and PW
now loads files from Word Perfect 5.1 using wp2x, if it is installed. In
addition to the list of predefined colors, it is now possible to define
colors using #RRGGBB syntax, and underline words. Siag will load much more
cell formatting from Excel files. Egon will scale text from Powerpoint to
fit in the window, and will now not trigger the layout bug in the Box
widget.

A new function, get_number, returns the contents of a cell as a number,
regardless of the actual type of the cell. The old-school ',' operator has
been updated to use this function.

guile-config is now used to figure out where Guile's headers are hidden.
Patches from Debian were included. O3html is now used to load files from
OpenOffice.org scalc and swriter. SIOD heap size was increased.

The selection code was updated to work with PRIMARY and CLIPBOARD, so that
cut and paste can interact with other modern X applications. In addition,
a copy of the stocks library was added which works for non-US stocks.
