I am reminded of a conversation I had with a Korean Buddhist monk two years ago.  He commented on the frenzy in his homeland for engineering, technology, and their pursuit of the American way of life.   It may well be the same in India.   As we absorb some of their ancient wisdom into our Western ways, they are busy adopting our Western not-so-ancient ones.
