If you want to get fewer emails you have a few options: Go to the full forum page (https://groups.google.com/g/flyteamxc) and choose User Settings in the upper right, then email options. The daily summaries option will send at most one a day, grouping them in one email. Or you can receive no emails and just go to the forum to read things.

I’m having discord/computer sound issues (what’s new?!).
I cannot hear or transmit in discord and have tried several times to fix this.
Works fine on my phone.
If anyone thinks they have the answer, please contact me!

I have already been through every conceivable combination there….
So, I don’t think that is it.

I AM able to share my screen if you or someone else wants to do some one on one.
I have been through the discord AND the windows troubleshooting.
One odd thing is that the windows troubleshooter showed my microphone as muted, and I allowed it to “unmute” the microphone, and that did not fix it. Even with a restart.
I am completely baffled. I even uninstalled Discord and reinstalled it. Sound works on the computer, but not for discord….
Frustrating. It used to work.

Bryan (BG1) did some troubleshooting with me last night.
A $21 USB headset fixed me up.
Seems as though the microphone portion of the laptops’ soundcard is shot.
A new computer may be in my future…
But at least I can fly condor with Discord now with you all and the guys that I met at AirSailing, and from my club that want some lessons from this (forever) student glider pilot.
