Subject: FT10 Rudder Cassette

Hi Kirk,

I hope you are enjoying a holiday break.

I'm getting ready for Vic Maui next year and want to put a proper emergency rudder on the boat. It occurred to me that a FT10 rudder and cassette system might be a pretty economical and effective back up rudder system with some adaptation and wanted to know if you knew where I may be able to buy one.  I understand that a lot of the cassette style rudders have been replaced with fixed rudders so I'm hoping there may be a few old cassettes sitting around in basements somewhere.  Any advice or suggestions you may have would be appreciated, Kirk.

Thanks Kirk - hope you have healthy and prosperous new year in 2014.

Peter

Hey Guys,

I had two rudders and one cassette. I sold one full set so I am left with a rudder. Apparently making a cassette for it would not be too challenging according to Stewart at Pro tech.

If that helps I have a rudder available.

Graham
