Is anyone interested in crewing for Bill Moyle? See below.

For the Race Chair:
I'm Jim Moyle, owner/skipper of FS2447 (Merry Way), and for the
last half-dozen or so years, I have been a regular participant at
Flying Scot Regattas -- a few National events, but mostly in the
Midwest (Clinton Lake, Ephraim, Indianapolis, Decatur IL), but
have never made it to Carlyle's Egyptian Cup due to personal
scheduling conflicts. This year, my schedule is free, and I very
much want to come. My problem: I have no regular crew, and I
have already exhausted my usual list of available crew.
I am wondering if you (or someone from your club) might be able to
find volunteer crew for me for the Egyptian Cup weekend. If you
think you can, I WILL come. I do not have extraordinary
expectations. Experience aboard a Flying Scot (or similar
dinghy) would be most helpful, hopefully with at least a little
experience flying a Spinnaker, but I do not require an expert
sailor. I'm easygoing, easy to sail with, and I am always nice
to my crew. The goal is simply to have some fun. We won't win.
My boat is pretty well known in the flying Scot Universe -- not
because it is fast (it isn't)-- but because of its unusual
patriotic markings. I'm guessing you know the boat (photos
attached). I'm pretty sure we know each other.
I live in Minnesota, so having a reasonable hope of finding local
crew from the Carlyle Club is important to me before I commit to
the trip, though I do not expect an outright guarantee. Can you
help ?
Jim Moyle
