Welcome to the 2026 Flying Scot fleet 83 season

Hello Flying Scot sailors,

We have several high priority items to start the 2026 season:

• The traditional Father's Day date for the Egyptian Cup Regatta is only a week after the North American Championship. It is my guess that not many people will want to get on the road and attend a regatta the first weekend after they get back from the NAC. I would like to schedule the ECR a week later, June 26-28, 2026. Does anyone know of any other conflicts for that date?
• We need to have a spring fleet meeting. Is anyone interested in hosting a meeting? Feel free to contact me separate from this list if interested. Other suggestions of date and venue are also welcome.
  
• We still need a Flying Scot web master. Our fleet web page does not have to be very elaborate or complicated. Think about it and let me know at the next fleet meeting.

Eric, 

Thanks for the call to have a meeting.  I will be out if the country Jan. 21-28 but otherwise can meet on selected days.  The suggestion for a later ECR seems reasonable.  Do we want to run it or ask Rick?  I would like to do more club racing particularly if Bronson is back, especially early in preparation of the NACs in Dallas.  Let's move forward!  Bill V
