An NIH funded postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the laboratory of Hui-Ying Lim at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will study novel molecular and genetic mechanisms regulating heart function and energy metabolism using the Drosophila experimental model.

 Our group is committed to the rigorous training of postdoctoral fellows, including the provision of unique opportunities to extend the findings from the fly model to the mouse model. Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in genetics, molecular and cell biology or biochemistry. Candidates should be self-driven, well-organized, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Drosophila genetics, confocal microscopy and image analysis.
