Your Responsibilities

• Independent research and publication activities in the field of genetics, metabolic physiology and cell biology of Drosophila, preferably on the topic of lipid metabolism
• Participation in existing research projects and development of new research projects also in collaboration with the established research groups at the Institute of Molecular Bioscience
• Integration into the existing working group
• Participation in the application process for third-party funded projects
• Supervision of students
• Involvement in organizational and administrative tasks

Your Profile

• PhD/doctorate in biochemistry, molecular biology or biology with a focus on genetics and physiology, preferably using the model organism Drosophila
• Research experience and publication record (desirable) in the field of Drosophila biology
• Knowledge in the field of lipid metabolism/physiology
• Teaching experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology (desirable)
• Excellent command of spoken and written German and English (B2 or better)
• Independent and autonomous way of working
• Strong teamwork skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Interest in teaching and in supervising students
• Reliability

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 60,926.60 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.
