We
have a job opening for a PhD student in our lab at the Donders Institute
and Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands - see attached job ad.
The project is based on a forward genetic screen that resulted in the
identification of Drosophila mutants displaying adult-onset progressive
degeneration of motor axons in the leg. The project involves the
characterization of (a subset of) these mutants, with as main scientific
question: why/how does loss of function of the identified genes result
in axonal degeneration?
