Large changes in immune associated genes

HI all,

I am currently trying to replicate results from a paper which was published in 2021 and used the genes associated with "immune system process" on flybase, however, flybase has since been updated and  comparing my results to the paper has highlighted the variability in these flybase immune system process codes between years. Would anyone be able to point me towards somewhere that explains why there is such a big variation?
