A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in Jyoti Misra lab  at the University of Texas-Dallas  to conduct research funded by the National Institutes of Health to investigate the molecular mechanisms of regulation of growth and morphogenesis during development.  The projects combine genetics, cell biology, and biochemical analysis of developmental processes that are critical for appropriate organ development using Drosophila as a model organism. Candidates should be  self-organized, curious and highly motivated.

Candidates must hold a PhD or anticipate completion of a PhD prior to starting the postdoc and should ideally have experience in genetics, developmental biology and/or cell biology.  Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Drosophila genetics, confocal microscopy and image processing. Candidates with experience in C. elegans or yeast genetics, or molecular cell biology and willing to learn Drosophila genetics will also be considered. Salary commensurate with experience.
