The Dongyu Jia lab (Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Kennesaw State University) (Atlanta Metro Area) is seeking a highly motivated postdoc candidate with preferred experience (Drosophila, Genetics, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Single Cell Sequencing) to investigate and perform experiments for projects funded by Startup and NIH grants. The lab is located in KSU Kennesaw campus, in the metro Atlanta area. Jia lab is a well established lab, and is recently relocated to KSU.

The hired postdoc will be expected to :

  • Participate in funded research projects to investigate the morphological changes of epithelial cells in Drosophila egg chamber system.
  • Conducts experiments using genetic, cellular and molecular biology, and single cell sequencing to study the development and cancer model in Drosophila.

Minimum Qualifications

PHD or equivalent in Biological Sciences or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background and bench experience in fly techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate their findings effectively orally and in writing.
