The Department of Biology at Trinity University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in Neurobiology beginning August 2026. This position will also support the interdisciplinary Neuroscience major. Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or equivalent terminal degree) in neurobiology, neuroscience, or biology with a concentration in neuroscience (or a related field). Postdoctoral research experience (or equivalent) is preferred. Teaching responsibilities will include neurobiology, an upper division Biology/Neuroscience elective, the core curriculum of the Biology major, and courses in the university curriculum. We seek a candidate who will build a sustainable research program that actively involves undergraduate students in neurobiology or neuroscience. Research using invertebrate, cellular, or computational model systems is required.This research program is core to the mission of the University to provide experiential learning. The chosen candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the teacher-scholar model, in which they will be expected to excel in teaching and research. The candidate must also demonstrate they can positively interact and collaborate with the department and university.
