We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our group at the National Institute of Molecular Biology. Our lab focuses on Drosophila genetics and developmental biology, with particular interest in gene regulation and molecular mechanisms underlying development.
Responsibilities include:
Maintaining and cataloguing Drosophila stocks
Supporting CRISPR/Cas9 and other genetic engineering projects
Performing molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, sequencing)
Assisting in routine lab organization and data management
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or related field
Previous experience with Drosophila husbandry preferred
Familiarity with common molecular biology techniques (PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, etc.)
Good organizational and communication skills
