Brembo master brake cylinder

Hi all,

I decided to fully overhaul the braking system on my ARV as it hadn't been done for a while.

I took out the master brake cylinder with the intention of replacing all the internal seals but once the plunger end dust cover was removed there was no retaining circlip so I am at a loss of how to disassemble the piston from the body.

Has anyone attempted this and if so how does the piston come out??
