September Soaring Road Trip

I'm starting to get geared up for some September flying.  Summer is zipping by fast.

Looking at embarking on a trip down to Lookout Mtn and Hensons/Whitwell around September 15 or so and fly what is flyable, maybe getting to Glassy, Tater Hill and then work north and stop in at the Big Walker fly-in 23rd-26th timeframe.

Then possibly Woodstock and the Pulpit, The Sac or 501 Bethel on the way home in PA.

The trip for Julie and I won't be all flying related, we have some relatives in NC to stop and visit for a couple days when we are in the area.

As chasing the wind and weather usually is, it will probably be lots of chaos.  Chasing the wind and camping wherever.

Anybody that wants to get out and see and fly some more sites... join in for some wind chasing.

This is not an organized event or anything like that.  But we have the www.soaringroadtrip.com website to use to navigate to the next best flying opportunity.

Personally I'm going to reach out to the clubs...sign up/join or whatever I need to do to hook up with the local clubs and be able to fly there.

Aron – I just sold a gas harness to an instructor at lookout, how much room do you have and where do you live?   He was going to pick up in a few months on a trip to NH. However if I could get it down there I’m sure he would appreciate it.
