National VOAD Selects Florida for 2010 National Conference - ot be held in Orlando

Florida has been selected as the site for the 2010 National VOAD
Conference. That means that Florida VOAD will serve as the state host
VOAD for the 2010 Conference.

The location will be Orlando, but details are still being negotiated
in regards to dates and location. The date will be sometime in the
April-May timeframe, and we will be scheduling it such that it will
not conflict with the Florida Governor’s Hurricane Conference,
typically held in the first several weeks of May each year.

It is the policy of the National VOAD to showcase/highlight best
practices on the part of the host state VOAD and its members and we
hope to highlight the great work in Florida by its VOADs, COADs, and
faith-based organizations.

We will be circulating more information and soliciting volunteer
assistance as the details become more settled.
