Free Water Available from FEMA

Florida VOAD Network:

Charles Buckner, FEMA, has just notified us that FEMA has newly
bottled water available for NGOs. Here are the details:

- The water is new with expiration dates of about 2 years
- One liter containers with 16,000 per truck load
- This can be used during the response or recovery from domestic
disasters
- Must be picked up from FEMA locations listed below (other locations
may make some available in the future)

Orlando, FL 48 Truck Loads
Montgomery, AL 64 Truck Loads
Purvis, MS 152 Truck Loads
Atlanta, GA 55 Truck Loads

Please note that FEMA will NOT provide transportation; that has to be
supplied by the agency. The closest Florida location is Orlando with
48 truckoloads of water. Presumably the water is loaded on pallets.
