Volunteers to assist Community Response Teams for Tropical Storm Fay

To our Individual Assistance (IA) declared county ESF 15
representatives and ESF 15 partners:

The State Emergency Response Team has asked me to seek volunteers to
assist Community Response Teams for Tropical Storm Fay. These teams
go into the field and distribute flyers, pass along information about
FEMA tele-registration, health notices, Disaster Recovery Centers and
any other information that survivors may otherwise miss. Survivors
often do not know how to register for assistance and often run into
problems as they register. The Community Response Teams are working
in declared Individual Assistance counties and need local volunteers
to help due to their knowledge of the area and its population.

Currently CR Field Teams are mobilized in the following IA counties:
Volusia, St. Lucie, Hendry, Okeechobee, Brevard, Duval, Seminole, Lee,
Leon and Wakulla. Please use the attached file (and below) to contact
the Field Team Leader in your county to see if you can assist with the
distribution of this information. We don’t anticipate volunteers will
need to travel to surrounding counties, their should be sufficient
volunteers in each of the IA counties to meet the need. The CR Teams
works throughout the week and on weekends. If your organization would
like to participate, please contact the representative CR Field Team
Leader for your county, additional updates will be distributed as new
counties are added or as others are completed.
