Use FLVmeta on AVC f4v video file

I have successfully run FLVmeta on AVC flv video file that is
converted using ffmpeg. The main purpose is to make the flv video able
to be seeked in advance when playing in browser.

I am wondering can I run FLVmeta on AVC f4v video file, or is it
necessary at all?

Hi,

flvmeta operates on FLV files only, whereas F4V files are actually Mpeg-4 files and not related to FLV in any way.

If you want to manipulate F4V files, I highly suggest MP4Box from the GPAC project.
