Nick,

If you are already using Lightbox2 from the existing package in Flux, and you want to update the entire package to the latest version (2.51), you can't - only Lokesh Dhakar, who wrote the package can update it.  That's one disadvantage to using packages - there are a fixed number, and they are frozen at the version offered.  However, they serve as a starting point to learning about what is available to use on your website.

I think that you should go to the lightbox site and follow their instructions on how to get started.  This may be a struggle, but when completed, you will know a lot more on how to add third party tools to your site.  Then, if you have questions on how to get lightbox's example to work, I can help with that here.  The link to the lightbox site: http://lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/

If I get a chance, I'll make a screencast on doing this.

Good luck,

Hello All
I want to add an updated version of Lightbox2 to my packages. Has anyone worked out how to do that? I see that a similar question was asked aeons ago but without reply. Possibly because it's glaringly obvious? I'll take the sarcasm on the chin if it is ;-)
Many thanks
Nick

A-ha! Enlightenment. Many thanks for the reply, it has been really useful. I managed to get Lighthouse 2.51 to work. Although the nomenclature has changed, it is still pretty much has the same CSS structure. I did learn a heck of a lot just by comparing the two versions and I now know more about packages as well. No time wasted then. The journey continues.
Even so, a screencast would be fantastic.
Best wishes

Nick
