Hi,

I just tried it out. If you right click on the child div, then select
"Take element out of parent element". After it's out, right click on
the div again, and select "Put selected objects in new div". Note
that this does not work if the page is in "FreeCode" mode.

Give it a try

Thanks jvcbiggles.  However, the "Put selected objects in new div" command does not allow one to assign the selected object to an existing div, but creates a brand new div the selected item is now attached to.

Actually, I just found that you can simply cut and paste the child div
like this:

Select the child div, go to the edit menu at the very top of the app,
select "cut" (the div should disappear). Then select the new parent
div, go to the edit menu again and select "paste". The child div will
re-appear as a child of the new parent. The position of the child div
may now be outside of the parent in the editor, but you can reposition
it as required. A quick look at the navigator window will confirm that
the parent has been changed. Of course, you can use Command+X and
Command+V to cut and paste as will.

Ah!  Got it.  Wonderful.

In the Apple world, some things are just so simple they get missed.

Thanks!
