Hi,

Has anyone tried to test the GitHub project: https://github.com/firebase/mlkit-custom-image-classifier ??

I am not an expert in flutter but I am very interested in firebase/mlkit/custom-image-classifier and I have been trying to test it without results for more than a week. I have followed all the indications of the Getting Started even the step of including the PROJECT_ID in the constants module of fluter-app / lib. I have reviewed them several times but I can't move beyond the initial screens: "View Tutorial" screen and the "Add a new dataset screen”. After I fill in the Title and Description data, I always receive the following message: Exception: Failed to create dataset. <! DOCTYPE html>

I / flutter (11395): <html lang = en>

I / flutter (11395): <meta charset = utf-8>

I / flutter (11395): <meta name = viewport content = "initial-scale = 1, minimum-scale = 1, width = device-width">

I / flutter (11395): <title> Error 404 (Page not found) !! 1 </title> .............

I have a Blaze Plan and I have followed the steps to authorize access, but I'm sure I'm doing something wrong and I don't know what it can be.

Could you help me??

Tanks and Best Regards

Hi Antonio,

I have tried it and have also written an article in how to setup the whole thing, you can read more about it here :

“Build Custom Image Classification Models for Mobile with Flutter, ML Kit, and AutoML” by Ganesh .s.p https://link.medium.com/a1Od7CNeyZ

Hope it helps

Thanks,
Ganesh S P

Hi Ganesh.

I already knew your article and that of Prakhar1989 and I really followed all the recommendations except the step 6.d and 6e) for sending emails via mi Firebase functions. Surely I do something wrong, but for more reviews I do not get the error message that is received from the api automl_api.dart. I think you have done a great job and that is why I do not understand anything of what you think. I will continue to analyze in depth to try to find the error.

Thank you very much and greetings

Hi again, I followed all the steps indicated in your article except for the processes to send emails via my Firebase functions. After analyzing several times that I could do wrong without discovering anything new, I chose to incorporate the processes for email management and everything worked perfectly. Even after incorporating the improvements you recommended to facilitate loading images. Everything works perfectly! Thank you very much for this great work that gives us all great peace of mind and functionality.
Congratulations and greetings!

Hello again, I have tested the project with your updates and I have verified that when uploading images with the upload images icon, it does not update the 'total_images' field of firestore, that is, it does not count the selected images. Do you agree or am I doing something wrong? However, count  is OK  when it selected images to delete.
Thanks and best regards
