Emulator: PANIC: Missing emulator engine program for 'x86' CPU.

Tonight I opened Android studio and there was a message that an upgrade was available for AVD. I clicked the option to upgrade; however, the VD was already running so instead of letting the upgrade continue past the warning message I canceled so that I could shut down the avd and re-reun the upgrade. But now I don't get the option to upgrade and my AVD gives me the error Emulator: PANIC: Missing emulator engine program for 'x86' CPU. whenever I try and launch it.

I downloaded the latest version of android studio and re-installed but I still get the same error.

Any help would be appreciated.
