I truly baffled by this, my iPhone device runs fine but the simulator gives me this problem:

PlatformException (PlatformException(photo_access_denied, The user did not allow photo access., null, null))

My info.plist seems to have the items I need (see screen grab).

Any advice?

Check Settings for the permission.

I don't think this is the issue, my problem is with the simulator not the device (device works fine). Your screen grab shows the device settings.
Am I missing your point?

My settings:
iPhone 11: 14.0.1
Xcode/Simulator: 12.0
Dart: 3.15.1
Flutter: 1.22.2
VSC: 1.50.1

If I remember correctly, the iOS simulator also has the Settings app.
Can you share your app's page in your simulator's Settings app?

If your simulator does not have Settings, then discard my messages. Maybe I mixed up my memory.

I have looked several times at the simulator app and can’t find settings.

Did a search in the simulator and it showed something with hardware, but again, I can’t find hardware anywhere.

Maybe a little more specific direction? Things have mostly just worked before.
