Final Announcement: Removal of HTML Renderer from Flutter web

As we've discussed in the tracking issue and the design document, we're dropping support for the HTML renderer from Flutter. The removal commit has already landed in the main channel. We expect it will arrive in the first Flutter stable release of 2025.

After this removal, Flutter will have a single web rendering architecture based on Skia. By using Skia everywhere, and will be able to deliver higher quality, performance, and consistency .

We'd like to thank the community for all of your feedback during the deprecation period. Your suggestions have helped us prioritize fixes that have reduced the size of the engine WebAssembly binary, improved image decoding performance and allowed loading of cross-origin images.
