This is primarily a maintenance release, which fixes a few reported issues and updates the infrastructure. There is one noticeable change.
For iOS projects, users have been able to launch Xcode from the IDE via the menu “Tools > Flutter > Open iOS module in Xcode”. A contribution from GitHub user edwinludik changes “Open iOS module” to “Open iOS/macOS module” and makes it possible to open the macOS module in Xcode, as well. Thanks for the contribution!
With the update to Android Studio canary, built on IntelliJ 2023.1, the experimental setting to index Java and Kotlin files in Android modules no longer works. It took advantage of some internal APIs that have been refactored and can no longer be used. The setting will be removed by the end of the year.
