anche la provenienza molto "laica" di frate Adrien a suggerirgli paragoni ed esempi tratti dalla vita comune, nella convinzione che facendo parlare il quotidiano che l'uomo capisce la portata del Vangelo. Esemplificando: Dio non la Previdenza sociale, per la quale esistono soltanto numeri e prestazioni. Dio conosce ciascuno personalmente, ama ciascuno personalmente. Non ama l'umanit, ama ogni uomo e ogni donna, uno per uno. O, prendendosi quasi in giro: La posta in gioco della vita cristiana proprio, come diceva un mio formatore, "umanizzare il ragazzo". Partendo dalla normalit di ciascuno Candiard riesce a comunicare l'unit del vivere umano: In una vita cristiana fondamentale che sia abbattuta questa frontiera tra luogo sacro e luogo profano, cos comoda per noi. La distinzione non evangelica [...] Bisogna che la presenza di Dio fuoriesca dalla chiesa. E potete abituarvi, a casa vostra, ad andare in pellegrinaggio fino al bagno, oppure a camminare in processione fino alla vostra camera da letto. Ancora una volta un'espressione evangelica fa da filo conduttore di una (bella) riflessione di spiritualit nel quotidiano. Ti ho visto quando eri sotto l'albero di fichi (Gv 1,48) dice Ges a Natanaele, e lui inizia a credere in lui. Ma Natanaele, personaggio venuto e rimasto nell'ombra, rappresenta un po' tutti noi costantemente alla ricerca di una realizzazione, in pienezza, della nostra vita. Che, in altre parole, chiamiamo tutti "felicit": di fatto, le nostre giornate sono scandite da una continua ricerca della felicit, un compito che caratterizza la nostra esistenza di umani, senza alcuna differenza.
Non resta allora che andare a cercarla, quasi come quando si avverte quel buon profumo di pane fresco che emana da una panetteria e invita ad entrare. la grazia che opera. il Regno di Dio che si ritaglia il suo posto ci spiega Adrien Candiard, domenicano francese di 36 anni, entrato nell'ordine dopo un dottorato in storia e scienze politiche, e attualmente al Cairo. Il suo un invito pressante ad intraprendere la ricerca perch il vero peccato, sarebbe quello di abbandonare la partita per strada, o ancora di andare a cercare altrove la soddisfazione di questo bisogno di eternit, di andare a cercarla in ci che non pu darla.
In questo cammino un buon compagno di strada potrebbe essere proprio Natanaele, decisamente pi vicino a noi, rispetto a Filippo e alla sua vocazione "fulminante" a seguito di quell'imperativo di Ges Seguimi (Gv 1,43). Di qui una riflessione incisiva ed essenziale che tocca spesso ricordi personali della sua vita precedente di laico e dell'attuale di religioso: sono quelli che chiama semplicemente "discorsi intempestivi sulla vita cristiana", come recita il sottotitolo, ma sono parole che toccano nel profondo. Soprattutto per l'attualit dei temi affrontati, dalla preghiera, al perdono, dalla relazione all'amore. E sullo sfondo sempre quel desiderio di una vita piena e felice. Che non affatto una chimera, sia nella vita religiosa che in quella matrimoniale perch, alla faccia di chi parla di sacrificio e caduta di entusiasmo, la realt che ci aspetta negli anni - come possono testimoniare anche tanti consacrati e sposi - sempre molto pi bella di ci che possiamo immaginare e l'avvenire ci sorprender sempre, a patto che restiamo aperti all'inatteso, al nuovo, magari anche destabilizzante, ma sempre un dono che ci render felici.
Come fare? Candiard, forte della missione caratteristica del suo Ordine, spiega che le persone occorre andarle a cercare l dove sono e parlare di ci che suscita il loro interesse, non delle nostre manie personali.
Lo 'stare seduti sotto l'albero di fichi' , frequente nei testi biblici, simbolo della pace messianica che scaturisce dalla fedelt all'alleanza con Dio. Quando essa manca subentra il peccato e anche la guerra. Per questo l'infedelt all'alleanza indicata con l'immagine del fico spoglio e secco. Essi hanno rigettato la parola del Signore... non c' pi uva nella vigna n frutti sui fichi; anche le foglie sono avvizzite ( cfr. Ger 8,13; Gl 1,7).
Ges pure, nel Nuovo Testamento, usa il simbolo del fico spoglio e senza frutti per richiamare il popolo alla conversione dal peccato, che aveva deluso le attese di Dio e reso infecondo (Mt 21,18-22; Mc 11,12-14.20-25; Lc 13,6-9). In Matteo e Marco la mancanza di frutti provoca la maledizione. Nel vangelo di Luca, che evidenzia la misericordia di Dio, la mancanza dei frutti non provoca, invece, la maledizione. Grazie alle cure del vignaiolo, prevale una nuova attesa di conversione. Ma quegli rispose: "Padrone, lascialo ancora quest'anno, finch io gli zappi attorno e vi metta il concime e vedremo se porter frutto per l'avvenire; se no, lo taglierai" (Lc 13,6-9).

It may not be the newest Italian eatery on the block, but Osteria La Buca has been around for a reason. With a date-y type vibe and a charming setting to dine in, this affordable Larchmont restaurant serves its delicious fare for brunch, lunch and dinner to devoted patrons who keep this place crowded. With a core belief of creating great food that should never be elaborate or over the top, Osteria La Buca offers up "fresh, uncomplicated and well executed" items so that patrons can focus more on the great flavors. What's good here? Start your night off by delving into one of the restaurants unique cocktails, such as the Northerner, which comes complete with bourbon, amaro, nonino and orange bitters. Micelie's celebrates 66 years in business serving great Italian food to an area just up the street from the Hollywood Bowl. Getting a table can be the biggest challenge, because it is always busy, but the reason why so many folks are clamoring to get a table is the food. The menu is sure to satisfy all the flavors of Italy. However, what most people mention after their visit is the singing waiters. Micelie's hires musical theater actors from the neighboring studios to serve the patrons, and they all sing for your supper. The performers are spectacular, don't miss it!
