Trying out Swish and fluix http://www.swishzone.com and they don't
seem to get on.

The SWF v6 exported seem to always have this error, unfortunately .fla
is a property format to Flash itself and Swish can't output them, so I
can't send an .fla

Error 1 Error: The stream ran short by
SWF::BinStream::Read=HASH(0xc847ec) bytes. at /PerlApp/SWF/Parser.pm
line 27.: If you would like this problem fixed, please send a
simple .fla demonstrating the bug to scott...@h4ck3r.net

Are you planning to release the source? I'll happily debug and fix it
myself if I have source.

Thanks,
Deano

Hi

Thanks for the report, I haven't tried anything from Swish. I'll have a look and see if I can see what's going on.

I'm planning to release the source, at least to the runtime. The pipeline is quite a complicated hodgepodge to set up and build (and as you can guess from that error, no fewer than 3 languages involved) so I'm not sure I want to deal with supporting the pipeline source. At some point though it's a possibility, once I've put some time into making it more sane to work on.

Hi again,

I just tried a movie from Swish. There was a problem with parsing the file that I've fixed, but unfortunately once it's parsing correctly, it seems Swish uses an obscure tag (#25) that I have no documentation for: http://sswf.sourceforge.net/SWFalexref.html#tags_version3

I suppose it probably has something to do with the control points of curves being postscript curves, rather than quadratic as is typical in SWFs, but it will take some more trial-and-error before I'm able to render those correctly. I'll try to spend some time on that for the next release.

Cool :) just saw your new release, anything I can do to help just say
(I know my way around Content pipeline when I got Lua working, as well
as the runtime bits)

Thanks,
Deano
