Questions to ask Dr. Lipsett

Here is a list of questions that my brother and I have. You can add more questions to this list and then email it to Dr. Lipsett.

1. We have broken down each of the three concepts into different subsystems: flow system, tank design, drive system, optical system, and control system. Must each subsystem have a unique design or can there be a common design among subsystems that are more secondary to solving the design problem?

2. In our calculation template, do you agree with us writing down detailed steps under the approach heading and then simply referring to each step in the analysis section? 

3. Are experiments mandatory? Our client said we couldn't run experiments in his labs for the project, but should we still try running experiments within our capacity?
