Is there a workaround for the "Bad Server Certificate Error" when
trying to load a site with an untrusted cert? I'd really like to load
the corporate Trac project in a Fluid app, but it won't load. I've
dug around in Keychain Access, but don't see a way to make a
certificate trusted. It may exist, I just can't see it.

Would appreciate any workarounds others have found.

To be clear, here's the exact error I see:

===============================

Load Failed

Reason : bad server certificate

Sorry Rob, no support for that yet, and honestly, it's not a top
priority. I will get to it eventually, but not before 1.0... there's
just too many other important features at the moment...

Thanks, Todd. I had seen that in a previous post in this group. I
guess I was hoping there was something I could do to fake it in my
keychain, but I can't find a way to do it. Appreciate the feedback
(even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear).

Hi all, i recently learned of a work around for the bad certificate issue:
--------------

...you can change the trust for the certificate on your site in Safari.

Browse to the page that the Fluid SSB is giving you the error for. You will be presented with a certificate panel. If you click on the "Trust" twistie, you can set the system wide trust for this certificate ("Always trust"). This trust will be transferred to Fluid.

--------
can somebody please chime in if this works for them?

thanks

Todd

Hi Todd,

I just tried this technique with a couple of our locally signed (or
expired) sites, and though Safari now trusts them, they still fail to
load in the Fluid SSB. I don't get an error message, but the load
progress bar gets started and hangs, and the page just sits there
blank.

I would have thought this would work, as well.

Hi Todd -

This technique worked for me with one other modification: not only did
I click on the 'always trust system wide' checkbox, but I expanded the
'Trust' section of the certificate and selected 'Always trust system
wide' from the dropbox. Then I re-created the Fluid app and it all
worked.

Thanks!
