Possible for links from other applications to open in the current tab?

Is there any way for links from other applications to open in the
current tab? I'm using Fluid to create a makeshift dedicated Preview
browser/window for Coda and each time I send a preview request from
Coda, my Fluid browser spawns a new tab. This is fairly annoying since
I need to have multiple tabs open but I really only need the current
tab to refresh each time a preview request is made. Any ideas?

what about opening links from fluid in a tab instead of a window?
