Low performance with Spaces

Hi!

When I start a Fluid SSB and switch to a new space, the graphic
performance of Spaces goes down. If I close or hide my SSB, everything
fine. Here is a MOV about the bug.

yeah, i see this too. Fluid uses only public Spaces API (which is very simple... just setting a flag), so i'm not clear on what could be causing this. A good test case would be:

find another app which allows altering the the 'appears in all spaces' type of preference, and see if it exhibits the same behavior. if so, this is an apple bug, and there's nothing i can do about it. if not, then it's mine.

On my machine (PPC G5 iMac, yeah, it's an oldie now), the difference is negligible, only noticeable if I'm really looking for it (which I was after reading this post).  I tried it with DragThing, which also lets you mark docks as "visible on all spaces", and I *think* that I see the same (minimal) slowdown.
