Hi, I'm trying to figure out if there is an issue with Fluid 1.2 and
1Password 3.8.0, or if it is just me. I'm not getting any 1Password
interaction at all with any apps I've created.

Any thoughts / visibility appreciated.

Thanks,

Jaren

Hi Jaren,

1Password Version 3.8.1 (build 31115) is working. You may need to
enable betas to get that version.

3.8 only worked via the key menu in the menu bar for my Fluid apps.
With 3.8.1, "command+\" shortcut works again.

Aron,

Thanks for the info on this. I upgraded to 3.8.1 (build 31115) but am
still not having success with this. It is also interesting to note
that with this, as well as the previous version, I do not see any
"key" menu, or any 1Password menu. I do have these menus in Firefox /
Safari, however they don't get created in any of the Fluid apps I
create. Perhaps this is why the keyboard shortcut is not working.
Thoughts? Do I need to re-download / install Fluid again -- after the
new version of 1P?

Thanks,

Jaren

Hi Jaren,

In my case, when I installed the Fluid Extension for 1Password and
relaunched my Fluid Apps, I got a prompt asking me about enabling
1Password for that app. I think it also happens when an individual app
is upgrade, i.e., I get prompted again about enabling 1Password. After
doing so, it works fine.

My experience was the same as your with regards to the key in the menu
bar. If the key is not there, then 1Password keyboard shortcuts do not
work.

Aron,

Thanks again for the details on this. Could I ask where you install
the Fluid Extension in 1Password 3.8.0? The only options I am given
to install extensions is that I'm redirected from the application to
this site:

http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/extension/mac.html

..where the only options I am offered are for Safari, Firefox and
Chrome. Thoughts?

Probably more importantly, what version of OS X you are running? I
failed to mention in my original post that I'm attempting to do this
on OS X 10.7 (Lion), and in researching this, I came across this
Agilebits forum post:

http://forum.agilebits.com/index.php?/topic/7326-whats-happening-to-the-fluid-extension/

"There's no change in the situation with Fluid support under Lion, it
isn't currently possible using the methods we used in Snow Leopard.
There may be another option for the future, but right now our focus is
on Safari, Chrome and Firefox 6 and above."

From that, my interpretation is that, unless I'm missing something I'm
SOL. I've pinged support@fluidapp on this, but haven't received any
response, so I'm fairly confident about this.

Thanks,

Jaren

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by "Fluid Extension for 1Password"? I
have the latest beta of 1Password installed, as well as the beta of
the Safari extension (which I believe has no say in this), but there
is no trace of anything remotely touching the Fluid app(s).

Hi,

I had 1Password's extension installed and working prior to the 3.8.x
upgrade which seems to have removed the explicit selection of
extensions for browsers other than the three you mentioned. I think
that I did read somewhere that 1Password 3.8.x is still installing the
others if the "Enable additional browsers. . ." checkbox is checked.

I am running 10.6.8. No Lion for me for quite some time.

Sorry to say, you probably are SOL, for now. the folks at Agile are
usually fairly aggressive at restoring functionality lost due to
other's upgrades / changes. I'd email their support or reply to their
forum so they know how many people are waiting for this.

It's not working in any Fluid instance for me (even the old ones I
had). But yes, I updated to Lion, and last time I checked the Agile
forums, they mentioned no Scripting Additions in Lion as the blocker.
I was just curious when you said yours worked, but being SL explains
it.

EDIT: This wasn't around last time I checked. I guess that's an answer
for now:
