Choosing a cool group name or good team name is part of the fun of team building. This step is typically the first collective action a group takes together, and the name can set the tone for the team dynamic. Thinking up a unique or funny team name on the spot can be difficult, and it helps to have suggestions and inspiration. Picking the best team name can make outings more fun and can make winning bragging rights feel extra sweet.
The easiest way to choose group names for office outings is to use a work team names generator. You can also brainstorm names as a group and put the name to a vote. Selecting a name that fits the theme of the event can make the outing more fun and festive. Also, if your team event is hosted, flattering the facilitator by making the team name a tribute to the host might just win your group extra points.
I enjoy reading all the entries in the forum. I really like the unique and individual names used by everyone. My question is...how did you come up with your "screen name", "code name", "team name", or "cache name" (or whatever you want to call it)? Mine just seemed to drift from one techno gadget to another. In the olden days of the CB, my "handle" was PHANTOM. THen it migrated to screen names in chat rooms, forums and instant messaging. It just seemed right to continue to use it in geocaching. Just curious.
I used to be known as "Cybeq". The name comes from a particular brand of automation I work on. But it seemed wrong to copy a company name for this so I just made up Geo Quest on the spur of the moment. I think it sucks but I guess it makes a better gecaching handle than Cybeq.
Before i went by the screen name "Simply Irresistible" but after a while i thought the name didn't fit anymore i had to find something more original and i just cut of the word "Simply" and shorted irresistible to "irresisti"
After a while I wanted something a little more spicy, I decided to go with Terminator (yeah, like that fits my personality ) so, I lightened it up by changing it to "Term'nator" which was a reference to the terminal programs we used on the Commie to dial up the BBS's.
When my step kids where little I made up this caracter called BOB I used to draw it out for them it looked like my avatar but it didn't look like a vampire. As they grew older BOB changed to Vampirebob and now he looks like a vampire.A few years ago I took it as my web address. Then when I started geocaching it evolved into Geovamp
Well my Maiden name is Pepper, and my husband IS a SuperGenius. His coworkers gave it to him shortly after he arrived in CA for his new job. It stuck and we use it for everything, so it just seemed right to include in our geocaching.
I am a web host. I have been designing web pages since before the dot com explosion. I now teach web design at a vocational school. I have a small company that hosts many sites. Also, I am a Christian. I like wordplay and one day came up with a play on words that would describe those two. Actually, Heavenly Host is a catholic term, which I am not, but the play on words is still there. It is another way of letting people know about my faith without forcing anything on people. Sort of a 'If you know it, you'll recognize it, but if you don't, you won't' kind of thing.
I used to use drum as a login/chat name, as my name is Dru Morgan and that was the first initial of my last name. I was with an ISP called loop.com for a while. My email was dr...@loop.com and people thought I was a musician into drum loops.
I thought it sounded a bit presumptuous but they like and what the heck, it's a family thing for us. They're big-time into Star Wars, I suggested something Geo-related and this is what they came up with.
Mine is from my time as a Flight Engineer on C-141B StarLifter Special Ops, I also worked in SO supply and we were able to "get things" as needed. I just kept it. The symbol is something else altogether......
We love GADGETS: PDA's, digital cameras, ham radio gear, and my home-based work computer is loaded with all kinds of gadgets for my business. When GPSR's came out it was a natural progression to get one and find an excuse to use/play with it, even though I found many excuses through the years NOT to buy one... then Geocaching came along. I was trying to think of a GC-related domain name and viola! GeoGadgets Team was born.
In the CB radio and BBS days of my wild and crazy youth I was the 'Queen Of Hearts', but as I get older that name just doesn't FEEL as appropriate as it did when I was in my early twenties and childless. Now, I live in the Redwoods and I have always had redhair... RedwoodRed fits better, even if I am commonly mistaken for a male of the species in chat rooms and the places where I trade porn... just kidding!.
"Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is." - Yoda, Jedi Master from Star Wars - Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Easy! This one is in honor of the Leonids Meteor Storm of 2001! WOW!!! We were seeing about 300 meteors in a ten minute time frame at our highest observation time. Couldn't look anywhere without seeing a meteor. We had 11 people observing! Some incredible exploding fireballs too! They were the coolest! Plan to go out this year for another good show.

Office games help employees relax after a hard day at work. This is when they can connect with their colleagues and have fun while still being in an office setting, and experience the space in a totally different way.
Moreover, icebreakers can be a great boost before an upcoming meeting, tough week ahead, busy launches, and so on. Answering funny questions is the perfect distresser that also affects employee motivation and engagement in a positive way.
Office games help boost the interaction levels in the office more than you can imagine. They enable colleagues to catch up with peers, share thoughts, opinions, and ideas, and listen to what others have to say.
None of this has to be forced - it happens spontaneously. After all, playing office games involves collaboration and communication as your employees are working toward a common goal - to win the game.
Office games are a great way for employers such as yourself to spot those employees who truly stand out from the crowd with their ideas, resourcefulness, and more importantly, their leadership potential.
These are the people who always have a plan B, have no trouble whatsoever communicating their ideas to the rest of the group, come up with playful solutions, and delegate tasks within their group in a successful manner.
Coming up with answers, providing solutions, trying to keep up with the score, competing with other teams, all while having fun - few events can live up to the excitement that comes with office games.
To wrap up, choosing awesome team names for your next office game can be a fun way to connect with your people in the office, get your creative juices flowing, and enjoy the game before it actually starts.

However, not being able to change team names is a pretty serious issue for anyone hosting a tournament lobby where names have to be changed when swapping sides for attacking/defending. As soon as there is a lobby admin switch the entire lobby has to be recreated and all players reinvited.
One of the best parts about running a team-based employee wellness challenge is the opportunity to create a fun and motivating team name. However, sometimes it is easier said than done! Check out the list below for some amazing team names. Use one for your team name, or have the list inspire the creation of your very own.
Pro-tip for employers: Randomly assigning teams is a great option for a wellness challenge. It creates opportunities for individuals within an organization that would not otherwise interact to connect, build relationships, and work toward a common goal. When assigning random teams, using fun team names, like the ones listed below, are a great way to add some flare to the program.
Got this notice from Etsy with a lot of vague threats about removing my star seller rating and possibly deactivating my store if I don't comply. Problem is, I'm not sure exactly what the issue is. I think it might have been from some images of native Americans that I had as design elements that can be used in our custom baseball jerseys.
However, it is not clear that was the issue - there is mention of not selling native American crafts that weren't made by anyone other than a native. And there was a link to an article about native Americans as sports mascots but there was no actual copy that said this was against the policies.
So I did remove ALL the images of native Americans from my design options from every listing and I took all the listings down that were similar to this original one until I heard word back. I also wrote back and asked for further clarification and they said I need to contact Etsy Legal. So I did that and Etsy legal said I need to contact trust-and-safety (the original department). So I wrote back and again explained the situation and my confusion and Gladys wrote back and again provided a bunch of links about intellectual property and the prohibited items policy. So I read those all again and I'm still not seeing that I'm in any violation.
