Hello,

Is CentOS 7 fully supported for td-agent?

I've been having issues installing plugins on CentOS7 with td-agent. I have been able to get vanilla fluentd working with no issues. It worked fine on CentOS 6.5.

I have curl libs & build tools all installed though.

Cheers,

Rhys

Rhys-

I could reproduce the issue.

Masa-

I think we need to address this in earnest. I know your initial take was to have fluent-plugin-elasticsearch NOT use patron, but is there any other path forward?

Rhys and others running into out_elasticsearch issue on Centos7 + td-agent:

Workaround:

/usr/sbin/td-agent-gem install fluent-plugin-elasticsearch -v '0.2.0'

Why:

The install fails because fluent-plugin-elasticsearch began using the "patron" gem since v0.3.0, which requires libcurl-devel. This is not an issue when you are using the vanilla Fluentd. However, it becomes an issue with td-agent since td-agent ships with its own Ruby environment. This is a known issue and we are actively working on it (as of Jan 29, 2015) -> https://github.com/treasure-data/omnibus-td-agent/issues/16

Rhys,

I uploaded td-agent 2.1.3-1 to fix this patron problem.
Could you try the installation again?

Hi Masahiro,

I've install via yum and added many plugins. Looking good. Great stuff!
