Hey guys,

I notice a little problem during the Installing td-agent for Debian
and Ubuntu tutorial.

The first step is to setup the Treasure Data repo by running this
command:
sudo apt-add-repository 'deb http://packages.treasure-data.com/debian/
lucid contrib'

Which will add into /etc/apt/sources.list:
deb http://packages.treasure-data.com/debian/ lucid contrib
deb-src http://packages.treasure-data.com/debian/ lucid contrib

However your repository is not providing the source, so when running:
# apt-get update
[...]
Err http://packages.treasure-data.com lucid/contrib Sources
404 Not Found
[...]
W: Failed to fetch http://packages.treasure-data.com/debian/dists/lucid/contrib/source/Sources
404 Not Found

E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old
ones used instead.

It shows error. Two possibilities to fix that:
-Edit manually /etc/apt/sources.list (or create file etc/apt/
sources.list.d/treasuredata.list) and just add 'deb
http://packages.treasure-data.com/debian/ lucid contrib'
-Provide the source (but I think it require a bunch of work from your
side -^_^-)

I hope it helps!

Sylvain,

Thanks for your report! Now I understand how to locate source Deb
package within the repository. Will be fixed at the next release :-)

Thanks - K
