Detect fluentd failures and raising alerts

Hi All,

We need some information regarding the fluentd failure scenarios and raising alarms.

When fluentd fails due to following scenarios, how can we detect these failures and raise alarms. 

1. fail to stream messages to destination.

2. fail to match pattern.

3. fail to collect logs from source

4. fluentd buffer overflow.

5. etc..

Is there any hook/commands provided by fluentd to detect the above errors and raise alarms ?
