td-agent logs growth - how to clean up

i have fluentd installed on a number of windows servers but the td-agent log file within C:\opt\td-agent tends to grow large filling up the drive.

I understand there is way to set log file size limits but from what i read the logs wont be cleaned up due to limitation with windows

Has anyone had this issue and found a solution?

I'm not sure what you did actually, how about specifying log rotation options via --reg-winsvc-fluentdopt?

It is the only way to tell option arguments for fluentdwinsvc service.

there was an update in fluentd version 1.13 to support this for windows https://github.com/fluent/fluentd-docs-gitbook/pull/316

So now I can specify rotate_age and rotate_size in the config and this works fine when tested

If anyone has a similar issue when running fluentd as a windows service
