Hi everyone,

Could anyone give a scenario when tcp_tw_recycle and tcp_tw_reuse is recommended to be turned on?

I'm trying out Fluent and I have a feeling that those options are recommended for high load and wondering if anyone's using those in production?

Regards
J

Hi Jae,

Could anyone give a scenario when tcp_tw_recycle and tcp_tw_reuse is recommended to be turned on?

It is depends on the number of fluentd instances and flush_interval / etc.
If many forwarders send events to aggregation server with small flush_interval, then
many tcp wait may occur.
But I think almost environments or using keep-alive used plugin work well without these parameters.
