Hi, if you downloaded CLAN in mid to late April, you may have gotten a version that was producing bad spreadsheet output and an error message. We had two reports, and identified the cause. This problem has been fixed.
If you get spreadsheet output that doesn't have an error message but seems poorly formatted, that is easily remedied - older versions of CLAN output had the tab as the column delimiter; newer ones use commas - if you deselect the tab option and check comma, your data should immediately preview and print in proper format.
Reminder: the newest version of CLAN Flucalc has an option to compute disfluencies over words or syllables (the syllable option is currently only for English). We welcome your evaluation of this option - please do report any "glitches" or problematic output to us so that we can continue to refine analyses.
We are currently working on a routine that will classify within-word disfluencies by part-of-speech. Stay tuned.
As a reminder, our funding does enable us to develop programs that are of specific interest to FluencyBank users. If you have a clinical or research question, and you'd like to suggest a utility for development, please do let us know.
