Hmm, I dunno; I can never get my head around how debian (and indeed Ubuntu) package up their dev headers, nor what all the dependencies are...
Surely someone must know what the dependencies for Cairo on debian are, though?
If you run a “sudo updatedb” then a “locate cairo-xlib.h” is locate actually finding the header file, and it is just in an unexpected place?
Or is it really not present on your system at all?
I just did a clean install of Debian 7.1 on my laptop. I my attempt to install fltk with ./configure --enable-cairo failed because it could not find cairo-xlib.h. I had previously done apt-get install libcairo2-dev. Suggestions?
