Sorry for the repeated questions, I'm sort of cleaning out a few lingering queries.

In an Fl_Menu_Bar it is possible to set the boxtype() for the top level of the bar itself, and down_box() for the highlighted entry, but the actual pop up boxes themselves seem to be of a given fixed type which is also independent of the theme. They also (on X11) don't *quite* reach the corners of their rectangular space footprint leaving bright points in the corners when the menu is dark.

Is there any way to set the box type of the pop up/drop down menus?

Sorry, it does appear to change with theme, but it comes with a border which contrasts with the interior. But with theme "none" because there is a border it doesn't seem to be an ordinary FL_FLAT_BOX and still I see no way of changing it.

The rounded corners should be removed, as support for non-rectangular popup window is apparently broken on many platforms and also a real pain to set up in fltk.

FLTK 2 tried to fix the box problem by having all menu items (including the titles of submenus) have a box type. This was pretty inconsistent however as the box was not around the item itself, but the menu it popped up. This may be less of a problem in FLTK 1 because it does not try to unify widgets and menu items. A global setting could work as well.
