Jason Turner, who runs the C++ Weekly YouTube channel discussing bleeding edge C++ features, has just posted a video describing incorporating fltk-1.4.2 into one of his standard project templates. Not an in-depth look at FLTK by any means -- he uses ChatGPT to generate a one-button example -- but it's interesting enough.

I'm slightly "confused" by the conjunction of the term "bleeding edge C++ features" in a sentence that then goes on to reference FLTK...!

Also, Duncan, looks like your registered email has changed - this post went to moderation.
Which might happen again, as I don't think I "fixed" it properly!

He normally posts about the latest features of the latest C++ standard, and some of it's very convoluted indeed.
Standard library containers, check. Smart pointers, check. Lambda functions, check.
The more recent changes for C++2023 and 2026 - I don't think I'll ever use them.
I was as surprised as you were when he chose to update his template project to use FLTK.

Yes, I usually use the old NNTP feed to view the FLTK groups, and took my eye off the ball when our local mail server at work was blocked in favour of the corporate firewall and filters, so I need to update mail addresses for both this and my engelsman account. But that can wait until after the summer holidays.

Heh, yes, bleeding edge for the aughts; tables and trees!

    Fixed with his recent reply.
