FYI, after the recent releases we had trouble with our FLTK server
slowing down massively. This happened after I uploaded three new
releases within three days. To avoid this in the future we discussed
offline to host future releases exclusively on GitHub.
FYI: I uploaded the latest releases 1.3.10 and 1.4.0-1 to GitHub,
they are available at
https://github.com/fltk/fltk/releases .
"Finding" the releases directly on GitHub
(
https://github.com/fltk/fltk) requires either two clicks near the
top of the page
1) click on "Tags"
2) click on "Releases"
or one click on "Releases" in the right sidebar if it is visible.
The tarballs and checksum files are available under the "Assets"
popup of each release. The latest release should always be on top.
I'm working on an update of our FLTK server for future releases
which will be announced as usual, but the tarballs of
*future*
releases will no longer be available on our server to avoid too much
traffic. My goal is to provide direct links to the GitHub Releases
page and/or to individual tarballs (as we have now).
The plan is to keep older releases "forever" - unless we come to
other decisions later.
Albrecht
PS: posted only in fltk.coredev to let developers know. Other users
will be notified by the announcements.
