Dear Friends,

I would like to share an exciting information of the program for social entrepreneur from Indonesia & Bangladesh which I participate last year in November 2014 held by US Embassy Jakarta and Jolkona. Please kindly apply for this program if you think you are eligible and interested. Should you know someone that should apply for this, please kindly forward the information to them! :)

Jolkona (http://jolkona.org) is excited to invite Indonesian entrepreneurs to apply for the Fall 2015 "Jolkona Catalyst"! This will be the first multi-country program with entrepreneurs from Bangladesh and Indonesia joining the Jolkona team for three weeks of intensive training and mentorship!

This program is supported by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy - Jakarta, Indonesia and implemented by the Jolkona Foundation. This program is an intensive three-week US-based training program for 8 (eight) young Indonesian social entrepreneurs. In addition to the training program, the social entrepreneurs will get exposure to potential partners, investors, and funders.

The program’s specific goal is to provide young Indonesians with tangible skills and opportunities to establish and grow their social enterprises.

Program includes:
• Access to successful serial entrepreneurs as 1:1 mentors
• Workshops on storytelling, mission finding, strategy and demand generation
• Tour of local nonprofits and businesses from various sectors
• Meeting and pitching to investors and funders in the US
• Attending social events to meet the influencers in the US
• Visiting the scenic city of Seattle and enjoying home-stays with local hosts
• Meeting and pitching to investors and funders after getting back to the home country organized by the US Department of State

Candidates Criteria:

Candidates will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, or gender. If selected, all your expenses related to travel, lodging, and program fees will be covered by the program. Competition for Jolkona Catalyst Project is merit-based and open to founders of an active social enterprise who meet the following criteria:
• Must be founder of an active small to medium size social enterprise (for-profit or non-profit) that has been in operation for at least one year and has proven track record
• Age between 22-35 years
• Committed to his/her venture and does not see it as a side business or a hobby
• Must be able to participate to the full program from October 19, 2015 to November 7, 2015
• Must be eligible for a B visa
• Proficient in spoken and written English at the time of application
