CALLING LITTLE ARTISTS AGES 12 AND UNDER!
Is your refrigerator covered in priceless pieces of art? Do you
regularly stumble over crayons and markers? Please share your family’s
artistic wealth this spring season by helping your child enter this
year’s Strawberry Festival Design Contest. The winning design will be
used for the Strawberry Festival and Books Fair’s publicity. With the
Festival less than two months away, the Friends of the Library of
Windham (FLOW) need your child’s help in designing the logo for this
year’s Strawberry Festival. Without your child’s help, FLOW may have
to resort to “clipart.”
The design contest is for children ages 12 and under. If your child
would like to enter, please adhere to the following guidelines. Use
an 8 ½”by 11” piece of blank white paper. Limit the number of colors
to four (their choice which four). Young Picasso’s may use markers,
crayons, paint, or even computer software to design their
masterpiece. Please do not use pencils. Keep in mind that
strawberries and community participation are the themes of this annual
Windham town festival.
Submissions should be turned in by Monday, May 11th to the front desk
of the Nesmith Library. Please include your child’s name, age, and
phone number on the back of their design
The winner will be recognized at the Festival, receive game tickets
and other prizes. All of the artwork submitted will be displayed on
the day of the festival. If you have questions or need additional
information, please contact Stephanie Wimmer at 421-9161 or visit the
FLOW website at
www.flowwindham.org.
