What's going on: Hey all, wanted to loop you in on a social media project some of us have been working on! Starting today (and continuing onward), we are going to soft launch the hashtag #truthchild on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, personal blogs - whatever networks you use! Our hope is to build a community online through this hashtag, make yoga and wellness more accessible to the masses we reach, and of course, get our own names out there a bit more. Girl has got to eat! :)

What's #truthchild: Well first, let's start with what a hashtag is just in case. A hashtag aggregates posts or pictures (depending on the platform) into one place on a website. If you click on a popular hashtag you can find thousands of posts from different people in one spot.

From now on, #truthchild will be our hashtag! #truthchild represents your personal truth. Fed up with your day after nothing goes right and you're losing your yoga cool? #truthchild. Can't get into an advanced yoga pose even though you're a teacher and people think you can do anything? #truthchild. Just ate a full pumpkin pie sitting in front of the TV? #truthchild. (I actually did that one, not my proudest moment). Take a picture, write a post, and share these moments! Let's be our most authentic, down and dirty selves for the world to see.

Cathypants even kicked this off on her blog with an AMAZING post sharing her truth and how this little phrase came to be. Check it out here: http://catherinezack.com/thoughts/2013/11/15/truthchild

How does it work: In the future we have big plans for this community, but for now we're going to start small, beginning to make this hashtag known on our networks. To do this, we're asking anyone who wants to be involved to make a post on any of your social media sites, and then at the end of the post simply add #truthchild. The internet does the rest! It doesn't have to be long - a sentence or a picture will do, maybe even a whole post like Catherine's. This is totally open to your interpretation -- the most important part is putting yourself out there!

If you have any questions, want to talk further about this, or want help setting up a Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram so you can get involved don't hesitate to ask.

Let's make this thing big!!! Love you ladies!! #truthchild

You guys are fantastic! I am all in!
"For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the
worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.”  ― F. Scott Fitzgerald
