sorry for always forwarding messages- i can stop if you'd like-- i just like passing out opportunities---

if you live nearby-- maybe you can ask how many folks they think would come and if you can get 7-10 paying 3-5 bucks each - and it is not too out of your way- it can be a nice opportunity for practice teaching and karma points ;)

Hey, Julie!

I'm looping the owner of Flow, Debra, into this one. Flow's teacher program often has new teachers who are looking to start up their career and excited to bring yoga out to the world.

Debra, see Julie's original e-mail below; it could be a great opportunity for TTs.

Thanks, lovelies!

Blessings to you both,
Greg

Hi Greg!

How are you? I think you are the right resource for this question: I work in a very busy community health center in Petworth; we serve a predominately medically under-served population (most often our patients are non-white and non-English speaking), and while we love the mission we serve, that does not in any way make up for care-giver/employee burn out. In addition, we are a non-profit with some financial constraints and this too adds to the burdens of our employees. In thinking about staff appreciation I would love to offer my employees a weekly opportunity to practice some yoga/exercise. Its such an integral part of my life (and well-being), and I would love to open this up to others as well. Do you know anyone (maybe a blossoming teacher?) who would be willing to teach a weekly class here at our clinic on Georgia Ave? Because we are a working clinic, the class would (hopefully) be at 7pm (any night Tuesday-Thursday). And unfortunately, I am unsure if we would be able to pay much, if anything at all (still waiting for word from my supervisor on that one). (But I would gladly contribute to a glass of wine/tea fund!)

Let me know your thoughts and/or maybe another community resource that could be helpful.
Thanks so much for your time/thoughts! See you this weekend!
always,
Julie
