Well quelle blinkin cheek …….
something is eating my Cerinthe major Purpurascens ……
I have never had a problem before ….. they are outside and have self sown very happily each year, and were looking good, but now the leaves have been nibbled and it/they have been having a go the forming flowery bud. Cerinthe at a similar stage of development in my garden, as opposed to my flower plot, show no signs of any damage.
The only thing I can think of that is not a common factor in both spots is/are PESKY PHEASANTS. Do you think they might like them? grrrrrrr will I have to cover yet another thing with net …….. ?
Otherwise might it be mice? voles? pigeons? It def doesn't look like slugs/snails
It would be good to hear if anyone has had a similar problem.
Thanks so much,
Nicola
